Beloved husband, father, grandfather, gret-grandfather, and dear friend to many passed away comfortably in his home 08/08/08. Please post any encouraging words for Fran and family, or tell one of the many unforgetable stories you may have about John. He will be remembered!

i love you, jimmy
He was a true Friend; someone who did the walk to the talk. I'll miss him but know he is still with us.. Fred and Mona Raska
It figures. Now that I'm no longer in Missouri, the memories of my Grandfather come flooding back.
Where were they when I needed them!
After viewing the slideshow, I'm beginning to sense that my Grandfather was a bit of a botany hobbyist. He was always planting trees, bushes, plants, etc. Not only this, but he looks like he might have been light on his feet as well:

This next photo reminds me of his last trip to Long beach to visit my wife and I. That's the Queen Mary in the background. We both took off our shoes and walked around in the ocean.

It was a good day.
Like the falling leaves of a tree, the memories of my grandfather come to rest, to be gathered up, and ultimately placed in a safe place in my heart.
Thanks for the memories Grandpa. ;)
Raymond
Thank you Jimmy and Raymond for your work on the photos and techno-stuff.
So glad we could spend time together.
